After founding and leading HFPUG for the past 8 years, Mark Allen has decided to step down from organizing the group. We want to thank Mark for bringing all us together by creating the first user group in the Houston area dedicated to functional programming. His dedication to creating a space where “mutability” is a dirty word and for loops get the side-eye will be missed.
Mark will continue to participate in the group but, beginning in October, Claude Jager-Rubinson will start organizing the meetings and managing the website and mailing list.
If you would like to help support the group, please contact Claude at hfpug@hfpug.org. In particular, we need people to maintain HFPUG’s Facebook page and Twitter account. And we are always looking for speakers. If you would like to present at a future meeting or have a recommendation for somebody that you’d like us to invite, please contact Claude at the same address.
